World Events

Worldviews constantly shape world events in the areas of religion, politics, and economics. And there's nothing like religious, economic, and political unrest to discredit or affirm the validity of certain assumptions.

While the U.S. administration has been embracing European socialistic models at every turn, the long term sustainability of those very models is being challenged throughout the EU.

And where are predominantly Muslim countries headed? Will more democracy pave the way for intolerant theocracies? Will a nuclear Iran lead to an all out nuclear arms race throughout the region? Will Israel's many enemies unite again to destroy it?

No one who's been paying close attention to events in the world the last several years can deny a growing sense that our planet is like a watch being wound tighter and tighter as tensions seem to be increasing.

Has Capitalism failed? Has Socialism failed? Are we headed toward Multicultural Internationalism (One World Government) and the end of national sovereignty? Will Global Jihad and Sharia Law prevail?

If you've got some reasons to be optimistic about the near future of our planet, I for one would love to hear them! And I don't think I'm alone...
