Post Office Boxes!!!!!!!

Looks like Government has gone into the theft business, finally realizing that crime pays better than anything else here in Costa Rica, and with 98% of crime going unpunished, why not, I'm thinking of becoming a crook myself!!!!!!!!!

Post Office Boxes have gone from 3,500 colones a year to 10,000 colones a year, BUT ALSO if you did not renew in Jan. 2012 then you will pay 15,000 colones. (That is correct--a 50% multa for not paying something no one told you you owed!!) And if you don't pay by March 1st you will loose your box.

For twenty one years I have had the same box, each year I would receive a note in it saying my bill was due and how much it was. Well sports fans, not this year!!!

This year you have to be a psychic, because no notice was given, yet the amount tripled and the fine for not paying in Jan. (which was never the case in the past) is 50% more ie: 15,000.
Beware!!!!!!!!!!!! We now have more to fear from the Government than the bad guys!

CRIME PAYS and PAYS WELL.

More secrecy, less transparency, more "Lets get the good guys since we don't have a clue what to do with the bad guys!!!!!!!!!!
